Can you say WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE?!

So New Years eve dance will be held at the Orange stake Center and it is themed for everyone and  it is "Lost in the jungle" The dance crew is working on outfits. Here is a little hint: we will be making some of our outfits. This is our 3rd year going to this dance and it has been the FUNNEST dance of the year every year. Lets hope we can ring in the 09  year at the orange dance in a good way, f you know what i mean. Anyways expect a HUGE post on the blog new years day. Probably not until late afternoon, i have a feeling we are all gonna be a little dead the next morning. Any ideas for the safari/jungle theme, let me know!!!!

Huntington Dance ~ Casual

So this dance is special it only happens when there is 5 weeks in a month. And it is casual dress...even better!!  Our theme was vests and as you can see we are all sporting some nice vests. Even lou bob had on a vest(not pictured) Anyways, there was a HUGE dilemma when our friend decided not to go so we didn't have a ride. I can no longer drive to dances because of my ticket. Most of you know about it thanks to brother Georgianna who announced it in sacrament meeting over the PULPIT!!!! Ya not cool. So our great friend Whitney drove us all in her yukon and we did work. We got to the dance and yes we actually got asked to dance. NOT NORMAL. Ryan wanted to take a picture of it, because literally the first slow song we all got asked. And slim pickins on the males at this dance. This dance was like an episode of the hills it full of so much unnecessary stupid drama. But we just tried to forget about the shady people and dance. the biggest and best news of the night was when Ryan got a compliment from "Jonas brother" really just a guy who looks like Joe Jonas. This kid has taste and i was proud to call Ryan my brother. Will and Jim drove with Ishmeal and had a great time. After, we went to in N out and did work on the food. When this dance was over, we thought about taking ice baths, thats how tiring these things are. Next week is Irvine and the theme is confidential! 

We are having withdrawls.

so it has been like what 3 weeks since the crew has gone to a dance? like really? Were not sure if we even remember how to dance. thats sad. We only talk about it everyday, daydreaming. 

Obviously this past weekend, we couldn't make it to cypress because of the awful fires. the weekend before, we had no ride all the out to RSM so we went to a dance party in YL which was actually really fun!

 And want to hear the worst news of all? Orange is cancelled this weekend. just to make sure, we will be texting the DJ to find out the truth. On a happier note, the crew will still live it up this weekend at a dance party here, hopefully it happens. 

We need a theme, for Irvine next weekend, any ideas? We were also of thinking of themeing this weekend's dance party. It needs to be somewhat normal but legit, any ideas? 

also, i just heard about a mormon dance club in Utah?! What the chafe?! We need to get ourselves one of those. PLEASE someone open one up here!

Prep Irvine.

For the November Irvine dance the crew decided to dress prep. We looked pretty legit and the dance was awesome. Even jacob joined us woo hoo!!

Legit Orange dance thanks to Kristina!!!!!

Ohhh HEY!!

We owe our legit theme compliments of Kristina Kendig!! the theme was obviously bright home made skirts.  She whipped out all of our skirts the day of the dance, like 3 hours before!! and we were stressing that they weren't going to fit or not be done. Let's just say that she is our new personal dance stylist. Compliments were endless of these little beautys. Going with the dance crew tonight was Tori hollland and hayley. The add ons to the crew were FUN!! Ryan was revealing his brand new haircut to the world tonight. It was very successful.  the dance was pretty empty unfortunatly but eventually filled up with dancers!! the temp was GREAT it never got too hot! William did work at the dance, at least when i saw him like 2 times he did. WEIRD!! but we actaully got asked to dance. It must have been the skirts. I got asked once, Lauren got asked for her number!!!!!! And kim got one slow song in. :) This is a miracle on 34th street. I'm not kidding i forgot how to slow dance, it has been FOREVER since i got asked. Alright so on the request list for songs it said if you request Jonas brothers we WONT play them and they are our FAVORITE so were like freaking out! And these girls who think they are cool wrote that and like 15 minutes later Burnin up comes on and were like aww yeah!! Ryan goes over to them and is like "Suck it!!" it was defiantly a nail biter. phewww we got worried.  After, we went to in N out and didn't have any problems like the last 2 times going after Orange!! that was another miracle. The night was full of miracles.... As well as the miracle that we actually got  our favorite spots at in n out!! WOOT WOOT!! Btw, those skirts took some butter to slip off they weren't made custom to our bodies so it took some sweat but eventually around 2 in the morning we got them off. Next week is Irvine and we have a few theme ideas and of course they are all legit:))

Cypress Dance awww yeah!!

Cypress theme was flashback to the 80s with thrift shop dresses. All of our dresses have titles as usual. Lauren's titled "Rich girl" Kim's title "HOT Granny" and mine was titled "Primary President" All three of us girls wore our hair "straight" in honor of PROP 8. Ryan and Will were looking sharp as well that night. WE get energy drinks and hed off the other side of town, Cypress! when we get there, it is PACKED and when i say packed i mean PACKED COMPLETLY FULL!!! It was an EFY dance thing so people from everywhere were there. Fortunatly, it was dark! Barely able to tell who was who. And that is the way we like it. Ryan did work on the dance floor and i didnt see much of Will but im sure he did work as well. Lauren almost beat up some kid named Kevin. All of us girls were dancing along the wall in a line being hilarious then we dicovered the BEST prop for dancing ever. The trash can was on a spinny circle thing and we took the trash can off and i sat on it and lauren pushed me around the whole dance floor for like 5 minutes until we got in trouble. But it was histerical oh and Lauren got injured from it :( Lauren Kim Jess and Ally I went up to the DJ and we were like will you play our favorite song? "I dont want to close my eyes" by Aerosmith please?!! (its the best to lyrical dance to) and he said only if we slow dance with a boy for half of it and were like sure!! haha NOT oops we forgot! SO we had the bombest lyricaling sesh me and lauren even threw in a lift can you believe it?!    After we went to the sketch in N out in Cypress and got some DIRTY looks from the thugs of cypress but luckily there was three security guards there. We left satisfied with our meals and merged back onto the freeway back to our side of town. All in all the dance was fun, it started off ruff but got so good at the end thanks to the padded wall. OH and a shout out to Jen and Jordyn who couldnt be there, because of a choir show, Which was AMAZING!!! 

And next week: we will be missing Jess she got asked to HC, hmm we all wonder what thats like?! 

Its Orange, only the number 1 dance of all the them. This is the super bowl of church dances, this is the night everyone waits for. Its gonna be a memorable one. This surpasses every dance ever.

Irvine Baby!!

Alright so Irvine baby!! ya ya its too bad that we got tied up in our hectic lives and only left one day to find outfits for our theme and had no luck so were saving it for another time. Tonight, you ask us what our theme was and i would say that we looked pretty darn LEGIT. The night was a blast!!! Jen, Jessica, Rebecca and her friend all got ready with us at lauren house. Ryan was dressed like a nerd with blue supenders and blue glasses and looked absolultely hilarious! will and jim were also wearing blue, not on purpose. We got our energy drinks and drove safely to the dance in Roxanne(grandmas car) When we arrived, there was something different....there was a HUGE stage in the dance floor and you were allowed to dance on it!! How fun. the boys really took advantage of this the whole night, Ryan and jordan Brown were being histerical on the edge of the stage dancing to the whole crowd. Then Ryan, Will, jim and Casey were sitting on chairs pretending to be in a car. It made everyone laugh out loud! the dance wasnt as crowded as usual:( The DJ didnt play any rap, we think he despises it and will only play oldies. BUMMER! but during "Beat it" by Micheal Jackson, some of the boys decided to have a walk off on the stage and got in trouble for FAG dancing. hahahaha i will say that Irvine is getting worse because of the LAME adults that get everyone in trouble for EVERY little thing possible. If this continues, i feel a boycott coming on. And, i need to make a shout out to all the parents and say that we try HARD to be home early but we are at a CHURCH dance and its hard to because they are not that close and time flys fast at in N out! So please give us a break? :) Anywho.....the slow songs were amazing and we did the most  bombest lyrical dancing with Jessica and Lauren, behind the DJ. Bizzle got his groove on with a cute girl from Laguna and lets just say that we all saw some sparks fly. On the way home, we almost had another BUTT situation when Josh chang pulls up next us and trys to moon us the thankfully the light turned green and we sped off!!!! Pheww that was a close one! And in n out was hoppin as usual! Everyone always steal out spots at the window which we really miss:( But i give that irvine a 7 and only because the fans there, DO WORK!!!!

Next week is RSM(Rancho Santa Margarita) theme is: Crazy tight Night! ( tune in on sunday to see which crazy tights we decide to wear:) 

Orange Dance!!! Rarrr

ME-OOOWW Our theme of the night as you can see is animal print! It was one of our funnest themes so far. The night started when Jen,Jordyn,Rebecca,Lauren and Kim came over to my house to all get ready together. We were all feeling the theme of the night and so stoked for night ahead of us. We all ate a gripload of tacos then left to get energy drinks! We went to circle K and our friend wasnt working:( But we got a new brand of drink and it tasted delicious! Once we got to the dance we had people making comments to us left and right about our matching attire. Now there was 9 girls going with our theme, like completely decked out in cheetah. The dance was soo legit, it was full to the max and the DJ rocks. There was an open area behind the DJ and we decided to dance there and it really made the night so funn!!! For some odd reason i saw like 4 people eat crap tonight. Josh fell twice right in front of us and then 2 random people just face planted lol Ok so we pretty much know we arent gonna ever get asked to dance so we lyrical dance and it soooo fun seriously so much then dancing with lame boys. When the song "Wall to Wall" came on by Chris brown someone yells hurry dance on the wall! So there was like 10 girls dancing at the wall in the front of the dance, so hilarious. When the danced ended( BTW those 2 hours just fly by) EVERYONE knew what was gonna happen next.....Ricky had planted a sign in my car that says Kim, wouldnt it make sence to go to homecoming with ricky and it was written out in pennys! Kim was shocked. Ricky left so she would give her answer at in N out. One problem....in N out was a challenge to get to once again. 

Alright so were driving on the 55 freeway bumping some rap Cd of Nate's when we get THE CALL. Jessica and Ally deliver the awful news. "the road to get to in n out is blocked, try to park at Burger King across the street and walk across"  OH NO are you kidding me? Last month we get a flipping flat tire, and now the road is blocked!! Lauren is sitting in the passenger seat handling 2 cell phones,  frantically making and receiving phones calls. Everyone is like did you hear? what the fudge are we gonna do? So we follow a truck that has a yes on prop 8 sticker. ( they must be from the dance) We see larry and a few other cars we know and follow them into a parking lot. We all pile out and start making our trek to in N out. then some 6th warder girls come running saying that the cops wont let us cross. Something sketchy went down on Tustin ave. "OMG time for mormon huddle" Larry says. We come up with plan B: considering we HAVE to go to in N out tonight, most people would give up and go home. Not us!!! We all decide to go to the one by cinema city. On our way over there there is a huge caravan of all us hungry, desperate dance goers. like 10 cars. Then, a bunch of people call us and say they got into the one on tustin. So we tell them to go to cinema city one! We finally get to an in N out! WOOHOO!!! More people show up and its a party! Ricky comes and Kim tells him.......sorry she cant go to homecoming.     hahahah JK she said yes and they hugged awww presh! Oh will those dance pics be cute! Some interesting things happen at in N out: Kim pushed me off the bench, Ryan is walking backwards and talking and rams into a chair and almost falls and lets just say i got EMBARRASSED by something on Courtney's phone that Josh went around showing everyone! All in all it was the Best night! The wild goose chase for hamburgers and everyone falling and of couse our FIERCE theme.

Next week is IRVINE were counting the days and daydreaming in class of how it will turn out. 

Cypress/EFY dance

Alright, so sorry to keep everyone waiting this post took me awhile to get going. Saturday was the Best of EFY dance. This was an all day event with speakers and a talent show and in N out. However, our day/night turned into much more then that.....It all started at my house: Kim, Courtney and Amy met at my house to go to Laguna Niguel. (Lauren was gonna meet us there later due to previous plans) We had on our HOTT heels and new outfits and im not gonna lie, we looked SMOKIN!! Getting there, we got completely lost because of the lame mapquest directions(never trust those) but thankfully we called Jules and once again she came to the rescue and got us there. The building looks like a temple is absolutely beautiful. As were walking up to the door, my ankle like gives out and i just kind of collapsed to the ground! The girls were dieing they were laughing so hard.  We walk in, oh ya BTW we were 1 hour and 45 minutes late. We watch the speakers then look around EVERYONE is like 12 and mostly girls. We were like "Oh no" this dance is gonna suck. and the talent show and In N Out, you don't even get fries!! What are we gonna do?? PLAN B: Lets ditch this joint and go to the Cypress dance! One problem...we have 4 hours to spare. "No problem, I saw a nickle nickle earlier" someone yelled. So we leave and go eat at In N Out and actually get some fries then we left our scripts at the church so we go back to the church to get them, so embarrassing. We eat, take some pics with the crossing palm trees then go to nickle nickle. That was a blast, everyone was staring at us we did have smokin hot church outfits on. lol. We ran out nickels and just hung out in Laguna Niguel taking pics on some random stairs. 

Now we get on the freeway with like 2 hours till the dance and were like ok we will just be the first ones there. NOT, we see the irvine spectrum and get off the freeway. In the parking garage i cause a 20 car back up because the expedition  is impossible to park. We made a few enemies. At the spec we got some sees candy samples and a women selling hair products curls some off Courtney's hair then she straightens it again. We would have rode the ferris wheel but we were out of mula by that point. Ok its finally time to head to the dance!!! We stop for gas and get energy drinks and 2 new ones. Courtney and Amy drink the energy drinks with me and kim and INSTANT energy! As were all pumped and ready to go dance, it starts smelling like burning rubber. Were like "OH NO" are you kidding me? We pull over into a Dennys and check out the expedition and everything seems fine so we use their restroom then merge back onto the freeway. we get lost again. Call Todd Love and he gives us direction, thank goodness! We arrive at the dance after 6 hours of us all being together , driving around doing random stuff!! VICTORY we made it!!!!!! 

The dance actually was really fun, it was hot but there was a medium amount of people there. The music was kind of a let down except for the song highlights which were: BURNIN UP, Sandstorm, ay Bay Bay, and dont stop believing. As usual, we dont get asked to dance and so what do we do?.....Lyrical dance!!!! On the last song, im leaping around with Lauren, Jen and Jordyn and my ankle gives out AGAIN and i eat crap and hit the floor soooo hard!! People i dont even know are asking me if i was ok. I got up in 1.5 seconds and ran out! Atfter, everyone goes to the In N oOut which is on the same street as the dance. I pulled out of the parking lot and turned right(BIG MISTAKE) We pull up next to some boys and were talking to them and they distract us so we dont even notice that we arrive at in n Out and it is not the right one!! We cal Larry and he gives us directiopns to right one. By the time we got there, everyone was walking to their cars! We eat with all the thugs of Cypress. I drop off Lauren,Will,Jacklyn,Courtney and Kim then head home from a LONG day!!!!!!

This week is Orange and its gonna be amazing.
